How I started

As a kid, I ran through many different hobbies; my mom always poured into these hobbies even if they didn’t last more than a couple months. When I was in high school, I realized that there was a common theme between all of these hobbies. They were all artsy!!

During my Junior year of high school covid hit. Although this was a tough time for many it gave me the time to spend on my hobbies. I found watercolor in this slowed-down era. I started by painting small tutorials from Pinterest and youtube. I quickly fell in love and spent most of my money on upgrading my supplies.

I decided to go to college for Pre-Art Therapy. There, I took many art classes that advanced me exponentially as an artist. All of these new skills now inform my watercolors. I learned how to draw what I see and how composition attracts the viewer. As well as understanding the impact of color theory and the beauty of layering.

I incorporated pen work into my watercolors and they have become a vital part of my mix-media process. The summer of 2022 was when I decided to sell my work. I began advertising custom watercolor drawings, and it was a hit! It was a hit not only among my friends and family but with me! I realized the impact I could have by transforming people's memories and special moments into something they could hold and cherish forever.

I have done this with my own memories for a while now. I have been traveling across the country for as long as I can remember and I have loved to capture my favorite sights on paper. I have countless drawings and paintings of nature that represent the beauty God created. I am honored to share my paintings of these special memories and be able to paint your favorite nature encounters!
